Overcoming the 'Seniors Stigma'


'"I'm too old."

"Fitness isn't for people like me."

"I can't do that!"

At Super Seniors Fitness, we've heard all of these statements many times before. We know that the stigma around seniors is serious and we know that it's all just a myth!

Being a senior does not mean you can't do the things that you used to do.

It doesn't mean you can't live a life of purpose and it certainly doesn't mean you can't continue to control your health and well-being.

As you may be aware, Super Seniors Fitness is determined to showcase that Age is No Barrier!

We want to show this as we care about our seniors in the Kingston region.

As such, our program has been designed to enable seniors to keep fit in a safe and comfortable environment. While we want to challenge you, we want you to enjoy taking control of your health and well-being.

Too many times we see seniors doubt themselves predominantly due to their age and changing routine.

We see seniors struggling to find a goal or an objective to move forward with during a particular day, week or sometimes even year.

In turn, we want to make a difference to your life and the way in which you see yourself.

HOW WE OVERCOME THE SENIORS STIGMA

1-2-1 Training and upcoming Group sessions!

We use a combination of resistance and cardio equipment to give you a full body workout. However more importantly, we're becoming flexible in the way in which we train our seniors. We want you to feel as safe and comfortable as possible with motivated, like-minded individuals. This is a way in which we can help you realise that you belong both with our program and the wider fitness industry!

Tailored Events

At Super Seniors, we're always looking for new events to showcase the work of our Seniors. We encourage our Seniors to get involved and we want them to give us ideas. On the 21st of September, we are hosting an event titled 'Age is No Barrier'. I would encourage you to come along whether you're a senior or not, to see how our program can help you, or your parents or colleagues!

Fitness and Cultural Retreats

We arrange fitness and cultural retreats to countries throughout Europe. From flights and accommodation to wonderful local food, everything is included. Just bring yourself! As well as the chance to exercise in exciting surroundings, it's a fantastic opportunity to discover new cultures and make lasting friendships with other Super Seniors.
